Minister of Agriculture Akunbekov urged citizens not to hide the number of livestock during the upcoming agricultural census
He noted that some citizens may not fully understand the purpose of this census and, as a result, may hide the number of their livestock or poultry. This is due to concerns that the information provided could lead to denial of social benefits or the imposition of taxes.
“The agricultural census poses no threat and does not affect the receipt of social benefits. There is no need to worry about tax obligations,” the minister emphasized.
According to Akunbekov, this census is critically important for accurately accounting for livestock numbers in the country. Reliable data is necessary for organizing animal vaccinations, planning veterinary activities, and ensuring the required volume of vaccines.
In this regard, Erlis Akunbekov urged citizens to provide truthful information about the state of their farms, the number of livestock, and the area of land.
The agricultural census in Kyrgyzstan is scheduled from March 20 to April 10. Local self-government bodies and territorial statistical units will participate in its organization.
During the census, data will be collected on sown areas, pastures, farm buildings, yards, as well as on the number of livestock and poultry.
