On March 1, 2026, the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic completed its campaign aimed at legalizing jewelry.
According to information provided by the press service of the State Tax Service, during this initiative, 942 entrepreneurs registered jewelry with a total value of approximately 16.8 billion soms. In addition, 1,604 electronic invoices were issued.
As part of the legalization, data on jewelry stocks for which documents confirming their origin were not provided were entered into the tax authority's database.
“This will create conditions for more effective accounting and control over the circulation of products in this sector,” noted the State Tax Service.
The campaign has become a significant step towards improving tax administration, increasing economic transparency, and strengthening trust in the economic reforms being implemented in the country.
It is worth noting that this campaign was initiated in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic "On measures to support certain sectors of the economy."
