In Kyrgyzstan, prices for fuel and lubricants remain stable, and the reserves of petroleum products are quite large. This was stated by the president of the country's Association of Oil Traders, Kanat Eshatov, in an interview with the Kabar agency.
According to him, the current situation in the Middle East has not yet affected the cost of petroleum products in the republic. However, if the situation on the international stage continues to remain tense, it may impact prices in the future. At the moment, oil companies are operating as usual.
Eshatov also noted that currently, supplies are being made under contracts that were concluded for March, with the majority of fuel and lubricants coming from Russia.
"We are closely monitoring the situation and observing the quotes on the exchanges in London and New York. Currently, the price of Brent crude oil has reached $79, but our companies have not yet signed contracts at this price. Price setting occurs weekly or every ten days, depending on agreements with oil refineries. Due to the fact that supplies are being made under previously agreed March contracts, we are observing price stability. Every year we sign a memorandum with the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, and the reserves of fuel and lubricants for spring fieldwork are more than sufficient," he emphasized.
