From February 24 to 27, 2026, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mederbek Tumanov, headed an official delegation that participated in a series of events in London organized within the framework of the "Central Asia – United Kingdom" format.
According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Economy, on February 25, Tumanov visited the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where a meeting took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev and EBRD Vice President Matteo Patrone. During this meeting, current projects and prospects for expanding cooperation in key areas of socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan were discussed.
Additionally, Tumanov participated in discussions in the "Central Asia – United Kingdom" format, including a meeting of foreign ministers from the region with representatives of the United Kingdom. A bilateral meeting was also held with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, Yvette Cooper.
The events emphasized strengthening cooperation between the regions, developing trade and economic ties, sustainable development, energy issues, and attracting investments to Central Asia. Participation in this format confirmed the interest of the parties in deepening political and economic dialogue, as well as expanding practical interaction on important areas of cooperation.
