The main objective of this agreement is to eliminate double taxation for business entities in both countries, which will create more favorable conditions for the development of economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Hong Kong.
The Ministry noted that agreements on the avoidance of double taxation are an important tool for attracting foreign investments into the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, the document provides protection for residents of one country from discriminatory taxation in the other country, prevents tax evasion and abuse of the provisions of the agreement, and promotes the development of information exchange between the competent authorities of the two states.
