Entrepreneurs face difficulties exporting sewing products to Russia, - deputy
He noted that goods are being delayed at the border with Kazakhstan. In response, the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service, Elnura Mambetjunusheva, reported that work is underway to develop algorithms in collaboration with the Federal Customs Service of Russia to address the difficulties encountered.
According to her, currently six vehicles with cargo are undergoing inspections related to the labeling of goods. She added: “FSB employees may have doubted the origin of this textile product, believing it was made in Uzbekistan rather than Kyrgyzstan.”
A draft protocol regarding amendments to the Agreement on the Specifics of Criminal and Administrative Liability for Violations of Customs Regulations within the Customs Union, signed on July 5, 2010, was also discussed and is currently in the coordination stage.
Details of the situation:
Representatives of the sewing industry report that since September 15, 2025, the Russian side has begun actively inspecting light industry products arriving from Kyrgyzstan.
Against this backdrop, entrepreneurs have announced the closure of "at least 4-5 thousand sewing workshops." However, this information has been denied by the Cabinet.
