Infographic — Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Trade with Non-EAEU Countries Decreased to $641.8 Million in January, but Increased by 23% in Tons

In January 2026, Kyrgyzstan demonstrated a foreign trade turnover with third countries (not part of the EAEU) at the level of $641.8 million, which is a decrease of 5.4% compared to the same month in 2025, when the figure was $678.78 million. This data was provided by the State Customs Service.

At the same time, in weight terms, foreign trade showed positive dynamics — the volume amounted to 466.61 thousand tons, which is 23.1% more than in January 2025, when this figure was 395.84 thousand tons.

Exports at the beginning of 2026 amounted to $52.95 million, which is 41.6% lower than in the same month of the previous year, when exports totaled $90.66 million. However, in weight terms, exports increased by 3.6%, reaching 177.61 thousand tons.

Imports, on the other hand, showed a slight increase and amounted to $588.85 million, which is 0.1% higher than the figures for January 2025, increasing by $0.73 million. In weight terms, the volume of imports also grew by 28.8%, totaling 289.0 thousand tons, compared to 224.33 thousand tons in January of last year.

As a result of the month, the trade balance ended up in the negative zone with a deficit of $535.9 million.
