Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Trade with Third Countries Decreased by 13.7% in 2025, Amounting to $9.4 Billion
Despite the decrease in monetary terms, the turnover in weight showed growth: in 2025, it amounted to 6 million 914.63 thousand tons, an increase of 23.1% compared to 2024, when the volume was 5 million 615.29 thousand tons. Thus, the increase was 1 million 299.34 thousand tons.
The export of goods in 2025 amounted to $1 billion 262.52 million, which is 44.7% less than in the previous year, when it was $2 billion 281.60 million. The decrease in exports amounted to $1 billion 019.08 million. In weight terms, exports decreased to 2 million 597.73 thousand tons, which is 4.1% lower than in 2024, when 2 million 707.49 thousand tons were exported.
The import of goods in monetary terms amounted to $8 billion 224.32 million, which is 5.6% less than in 2024 ($8 billion 710.93 million). The reduction amounted to $486.61 million. At the same time, in weight terms, imports increased to 4 million 316.90 thousand tons, which is 48.5% more compared to 2024 (2 million 907.80 thousand tons), increasing by 1 million 409.10 thousand tons.
As a result, by the end of 2025, the trade balance remained negative and amounted to (-) $6 billion 961.80 million.
