Kyrgyzstan received a duty-free import concession for up to 5,000 tons of beef until 2026, - EEC
The total possible import volumes for the countries are as follows: Armenia – up to 7,500 tons, Belarus – up to 7,500 tons, Kazakhstan – up to 5,000 tons, Kyrgyzstan – up to 5,000 tons, Russia – up to 100,000 tons.
“The proposed measure in the area of customs regulation is a balanced solution that, due to its targeted nature and the necessity of confirming its purpose, will support the meat processing industry,” said EEC Minister of Trade Andrey Slepnev.
He added that such tariff benefits in the past have contributed to improving the availability of meat products for the population and helped keep the growth of consumer prices at a controlled level.
Traditionally, the deficit of beef cattle in the EAEU countries is covered by supplies from Latin America and India.
The new decision will come into effect ten days after its official publication and will apply to relations that arose from January 1, 2026.
