The budget of the city of Osh will increase by almost 1.8 billion soms in 2026.
Key figures participated in the event, including the chairman of the city council Bolot Bayetov, the first deputy mayor Omorbek Torobayev, deputies, heads of institutions and enterprises, as well as representatives of public and non-governmental organizations, activists, and ordinary residents of the city.
The main budget expenditures will be directed towards general public services, defense, economic development, housing and communal services, as well as sports, culture, and social protection, including education.
During the discussion, residents and activists proposed suggestions for improving conditions for people with disabilities, increasing funding for social protection, and developing infrastructure in the "Alay-1" and "Alay-2" districts.
Issues were also discussed regarding the simplification of co-financing schemes for rural administrations, optimizing the public transport route network, ensuring stable electricity supply, repairing roads within the city, and improving the ecological and sanitary situation in Osh.
