Kyrgyzstan provides itself with vegetables and melons at 200%, but vegetable oil covers needs by half, - Ministry of Agriculture

As of the end of November 2025, Kyrgyzstan's level of self-sufficiency in various food products shows positive results. The country is 200.5% self-sufficient in potatoes, 204.8% in vegetables and melons, and 131.4% in milk. This data is provided by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

Moreover, statistics indicate that the level of self-sufficiency in meat is 85.5%, while eggs cover 80.6% of the population's needs. The republic meets 80.1% of its sugar requirements.

However, it is worth noting that the self-sufficiency rate for bread is at 63.2%, for fruits and berries at 61.6%, and for vegetable oil at 52.6%.
