On February 25, 2026, the next meeting of the Kyrgyz-British Business Council took place in London, attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Among the participants were high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Finance, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and major international companies from the UK and other countries.
During his speech at the meeting, Kulubaev informed those present about the current socio-economic situation in the Kyrgyz Republic. He noted that the country's economy is demonstrating stable growth, as evidenced by an increase in gross domestic product of 11.1% for the year 2025. Rapid economic growth was achieved thanks to structural reforms, modernization, improvement of the investment climate, and the implementation of large infrastructure projects.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of partnership with the UK and highlighted successful cooperation in areas such as consulting, manufacturing, natural resources, and banking. Among the priority areas for further interaction were named energy, transport, logistics, information technology, agriculture, and tourism, including the creation of modern ski resorts.
He also noted the need for further cooperation between government structures and business within the framework of the Kyrgyz-British Business Council, which could help attract new British partners and investors. Kulubaev assured that Kyrgyzstan is ready to be a reliable and stable partner for the business community of the UK.
"Representatives of British companies noted the positive trends in the economy of Kyrgyzstan and the high potential for mutually beneficial cooperation. They emphasized that interaction with the Kyrgyz side is characterized by openness and constructive dialogue aimed at long-term relationships. The British side expressed readiness to recommend Kyrgyzstan as a reliable destination for investments and cooperation to other foreign companies," the official statement said.
