Currently, there are 40 trade and logistics centers operating in Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. These centers, located at processing enterprises or operating as independent economic entities, facilitate the export of agricultural products.
According to the agency, there are 483 medium and large processing enterprises functioning in the country. Almost all trade and logistics centers are equipped with modern facilities for storage and freezing of raw materials, and they also provide services for packaging, labeling, certification, and transportation of agricultural products.
As part of the strategic development program until 2030, the construction of an additional 40 trade and logistics centers is planned in Kyrgyzstan. Furthermore, in 2026, 75 new processing enterprises will be opened, of which 8 will be logistics centers.
The goal of creating these centers is to optimize the management of export-import flows and to ensure effective storage, processing, and distribution of agricultural products. The process of establishing a logistics center includes several stages: defining project goals, selecting a location, developing a business model, preparing a site plan, and obtaining construction permits.
During the construction phase, warehouse and administrative buildings are erected, modern equipment and information technologies are installed. Then, the processes of receiving, storing, and shipping goods are optimized, and electronic document management systems and digital services for clients are implemented.
Additionally, an important direction is the training and selection of personnel, the introduction of motivation systems, and key performance indicators (KPI). Cooperation with transport companies and retail chains is established, and interaction with government agencies is strengthened.
After the construction is completed, the new centers undergo testing, the results of which assess their effectiveness. In the future, it is planned to expand the services provided and introduce new technologies, such as process automation, e-commerce, and blockchain solutions.
