Not all manufacturers comply with technical regulations when exporting, - "Kyrgyzexport"
He pointed out that although the current regulations were developed and published a long time ago, not all manufacturers adhere to the established norms.
“Despite the fact that technical regulations in the field of food and textile-clothing products are known, their compliance leaves much to be desired. Therefore, since September of last year, we have started actively conducting seminars and training in cooperation with the Department of Technical Regulation, CSM, and VCIS to inform entrepreneurs about the requirements that need to be met,” he reported.
Jumaliev added that manufacturers are being informed about the mandatory requirements for labeling, the presence of tags and labels, as well as the process of laboratory testing, which is extremely important for the successful crossing of borders for both clothing items and food products.
He emphasized the necessity for companies to operate legally, fully completing the certification and laboratory testing of their products.
In addition, according to Jumaliev, for the analysis of products that cannot currently be performed in Kyrgyzstan, laboratories from neighboring countries and European Union states are being engaged.
“For example, to analyze beekeeping products, including honey, it is necessary to conduct research on 41 indicators, while our laboratories can only analyze five due to a lack of reagents and insufficient infrastructure,” he added.
In this regard, the Ministry of Economy plans to modernize laboratory infrastructure this year and increase capacities to provide a full range of certification services for products, including the textile sector.
