Kyrgyzstan, despite its participation in the Eurasian Economic Union, is facing a number of challenges in the export sector. This was reported on the air by Tilek Jumaliev, Deputy Director of the Center for Development and Promotion of Exports "Kyrgyzexport".

According to him, companies engaged in the textile and food industries, as well as freight carriers, constantly inform the center about delays of trucks at the border.

“Even with all the necessary documents and correct cargo processing, there are sometimes situations where additional checks or stops occur,” he noted.

In light of these circumstances, as reported by the head of the department, alternative delivery routes are being considered, among which the so-called Middle Corridor stands out, and measures are being taken to diversify sales markets. The "Kyrgyzexport" center is actively working on expanding the geography of supplies of agricultural and food products.

Murataliyev pointed out that one of the serious problems remains the lack of warehouse facilities and trade-logistics centers that could provide both storage and processing of goods.

In this regard, representatives of the center visited the city of Novosibirsk in the Russian Federation, where, in cooperation with the Eurasian Development Bank, a technical assignment is being developed for the construction of a wholesale distribution center (WDC). It is expected that this facility will facilitate the supply of Kyrgyz products to the federal retail chains of the Urals, as well as to Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, and Omsk.

It is planned that the WDC will engage in primary and secondary sorting, processing, and packaging of goods for subsequent deliveries to retail networks.

Additionally, in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank, a technical assignment is being developed for the construction of a similar center in Almaty. Jumaliev emphasized that the Kazakh market remains important for Kyrgyz goods, including dairy and agricultural products.

The creation of logistics centers, as noted by Jumaliev, is seen as a key step to ensure uninterrupted supplies, regardless of the situation at the border crossing points.
