According to Baigonchokov, during these years, the main focus was on the construction and modernization of social facilities, landscaping of areas, improving the condition of roads, and addressing other pressing issues. Funding for these initiatives came from the local budget, as well as through the involvement of resources from various institutions and support at the national level.
In 2025, an additional 2.9 billion soms was allocated for the development of the capital from the Stabilization Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic. The total budget of Bishkek for this year reached 30.5 billion soms, which is 7-8 billion soms more than the approved plan. The budget surplus amounted to over 1 billion soms.
Baigonchokov noted that from 2015 to 2020, the city's budget grew by about 40%, while over the last five years, from 2020 to 2025, its volume tripled. This indicates an expansion of the city's capabilities, the opening of new social enterprises and institutions, as well as the commissioning of new social facilities.
For 2026, a budget of 32.8 billion soms is planned for the capital. The municipality intends to ensure budget execution and increase indicators by the end of the year, continuing efforts to boost revenue in collaboration with the deputies of the city council.
Additionally, the first vice-mayor noted that funding for the road sector has significantly increased. Previously, 160-170 million soms were allocated for internal roads in each district, but this year this amount has risen to over 300 million soms. Each district is also allocated an additional 200 million soms for the development of social infrastructure.
In 2026, the municipality faces important tasks aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens and further developing the capital.
