The Cabinet banned the export of mineral fertilizers from Kyrgyzstan
The measure is aimed at supporting agricultural producers and controlling the domestic market
The temporary ban on the export of mineral fertilizers outside the EAEU has been established by the Cabinet of Ministers. This became known from the official statement of the office.
The ban will be in effect for 6 months and is based on resolution No. 11, adopted on February 18, 2026.
It should be noted that exceptions are made for cases of customs transit and humanitarian assistance provided by the government. Furthermore, the ban does not apply to mineral fertilizers that were imported from third countries if they do not meet the established quality standards based on inspection results.
The government emphasized that "the temporary ban is intended to regulate the domestic market and ensure reliable supply of fertilizers to agricultural producers before the start of the active agricultural season."
