AgroDialog – 2026. A farmer from the Ak-Talinsky district is developing the Kyrgyz horse breed

A farmer from the Ak-Talinsky district, who has been breeding Kyrgyz horses since 2005, is actively working on increasing their population and preserving breed characteristics. This information was announced at the "AgroDialog – 2026" forum.

Thanks to years of hard work, in 2025 his farm received official breeding status. The main feature of the Kyrgyz horse is its ability to adapt to the challenging conditions of mountainous and rocky terrain and harsh climate. Even in conditions of snow cover of 40-50 cm, these animals can independently find food and easily move through the mountains, demonstrating excellent survival skills.

The farmer is making efforts to increase the population of Kyrgyz horses in order to preserve this unique breed. The horses are highly resistant to diseases, tolerate cold well, and require minimal feeding costs, making them especially valuable for mountainous regions.

Currently, his farm has more than 50 horses. It is particularly noteworthy that the stallions have protective instincts, displaying a high level of endurance and the ability to defend the herd even from predators such as wolves.

This initiative makes a significant contribution to the development of local animal husbandry, the preservation of the genetic pool of the Kyrgyz horse, and the conservation of this unique breed for future generations.
