AgroDialogue – 2026. A farmer from the Ak-Talinsky district preserves and develops the Kyrgyz horse breed

A farmer living in the Ak-Talinsky district began breeding Kyrgyz horses in 2005. Since then, he has consistently increased the population of these animals and preserved their breed qualities. This became known at the forum "AgroDialogue – 2026".

His efforts in this direction have borne fruit, and in 2025 his farm received official breeding status. The Kyrgyz horse is known for its high adaptability to mountainous conditions and harsh climates. Even in snow cover of 40–50 cm, these animals are able to find food and move easily across difficult landscapes.

The farmer is actively working to increase the population of Kyrgyz horses to preserve this unique breed. The animals are highly resistant to diseases, tolerate cold well, and do not require a large amount of feed, making them especially valuable for mountainous areas.

Currently, more than 50 horses reside on his farm. It is noteworthy that the stallions have a protective instinct and can defend the herd even from predators, including wolves.

This initiative is of significant importance for the development of local livestock breeding, the preservation of the genetic pool of the Kyrgyz horse, and the transmission of this unique breed to future generations.
