Representatives from St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region are preparing a large-scale expansion into the Kyrgyz market. On February 17, 2026, a business meeting was held in the format of "An Hour with the Trade Representative," gathering participants from regional Export Support Centers and the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Kyrgyzstan.
Twenty-five companies expressed interest in the Central Asian direction, including leading enterprises in the chemical industry and equipment manufacturing, such as LLC "BaltChem," LLC "PK "Medved," JSC "Novbytkhim," LLC "VIT," LLC "Lignogumat," LLC "Roltek," LLC "Korvey," and others.
During the discussion, entrepreneurs received a strategic "roadmap" for bringing their products to the Kyrgyz market. Experts from the Trade Representation familiarized participants with current indicators of trade and economic cooperation and highlighted the most attractive niches for Russian exporters. Meeting participants discussed practical aspects, including logistics and finding reliable local partners, as well as interregional cooperation.
The organizers emphasized the importance of such meetings for reducing risks when entering new markets and the opportunity to ask questions to official representatives of Russia. Kyrgyzstan continues to be a strategically important partner, offering broad prospects for joint investment and trade initiatives.
