The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic draws the attention of taxpayers owning taxable real estate to the necessity of verifying the information specified in the title documents against the data provided by the state registration authorities.
Both individuals and legal entities owning taxable properties are recommended to reconcile the following data with the information system of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography (GKU "Cadastre"):
– TIN;
– surname, first name, patronymic or name of the owner;
– area of real estate and land plots;
– purpose of the properties;
– shares;
– dates of acquisition or sale;
– other information.
Verification of this data is necessary for the accurate and quality automated calculation of the tax on residential and non-residential properties for the year 2026.
The GNS strongly recommends that taxpayers reconcile their information in advance to avoid errors in tax assessment.
It should be noted that according to the current tax legislation, the responsibility for calculating and assessing property tax lies with the tax authorities, while taxpayers are simply required to pay the established amount on time.
Furthermore, the Tax Service is actively working on the implementation of an automatic tax assessment system for residential and non-residential properties. In 2025, the first phase of the technical implementation of changes related to the automation of tax assessment for residential properties was successfully completed.
In 2026, the second phase of implementing automatic tax assessment for non-residential properties continues. These measures are aimed at simplifying the procedure for calculating local taxes and creating more convenient conditions for taxpayers.
