The tax service asks citizens to verify real estate data

Taxpayers who own real estate must ensure that the information contained in the ownership documents matches the data presented in the state registers. This reminder was issued by the State Tax Service (STS) of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The agency indicated that both individuals and legal entities owning taxable assets are required to verify the following values against the information from the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic (State Enterprise "Cadastre"):

– TIN;

– Full name or title of the owner;

– Area of properties and land plots;

– Purpose of the properties;

– Shares;

– Dates of acquisition or sale;

– Other data.

The STS emphasized that this verification is necessary for the accurate and correct automated calculation of property tax on residential and non-residential real estate for the year 2026.

The tax service strongly recommends that taxpayers conduct this verification to avoid errors in tax assessments.

It should be noted that according to the current tax legislation, the responsibility for calculating and assessing property tax lies with the tax authorities, while taxpayers are only required to pay the established amount on time.

In addition, the Tax Service is actively working on implementing the technical component of the automated tax assessment system for both residential and non-residential properties.

These measures are aimed at creating more convenient conditions for taxpayers and simplifying the process of calculating local taxes.
