Turkish businessman Sheref Duman has appealed to President Sadyr Japarov to take personal control of the situation involving former member of the Jogorku Kenesh U. A., due to unmet construction obligations. This became known at a press conference held on February 17 at AKIpress.

As Sheref reported, in 2021 he signed a contract with U. A. for about $500,000 to implement a residential complex project in Osh. However, due to legal obstacles that arose with the land plot, work on the project was suspended.

Duman's lawyer, Adilet Merkanov, clarified that in response to the difficulties, the former deputy agreed to transfer a kindergarten as compensation. However, it later turned out that the building does not belong to U. A. As a result, the parties reached an agreement that the former deputy should provide 5 apartments in Osh and 1 in Bishkek, which were to be delivered by 2024. Currently, these obligations have not been fulfilled.

Sheref Duman also noted that the case is not progressing, and once again called on President Sadyr Japarov to intervene in the situation. He expressed hope that his friends from Turkey are ready to invest an additional $1.5 million in Kyrgyzstan but are waiting for a resolution to the current problem.
