- In the latest report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, published on the official website, the forecast for wheat harvests in Russia and Kazakhstan has not changed compared to the data from January.
It is estimated that Russia is expected to harvest 89.5 million tons of wheat, while Kazakhstan, as before, forecasts 18.9 million tons. For comparison, in the previous season, these figures were 81.6 million tons and 18.6 million tons, respectively.

Information:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture makes its harvest forecasts not based on the calendar year, but on the "marketing year," which is the period during which the harvested crop is marketed. For each crop in significant producing countries, this period is calculated individually.

Thus, for wheat from Russia, the marketing year spans 12 months from July of the current year to June of the next. Kazakhstani wheat is accounted for during the period from September of the current year to August of the next.

It is worth noting that the majority of imported wheat in Kyrgyzstan comes from these two countries.
