The U.S. may invest over $13 billion in Armenia's economy - Bloomberg
The mentioned funding could help Armenia reduce its economic dependence on Russia.
The main factor contributing to these investments was the visit to Yerevan by U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance. As a result of the meetings, a cooperation agreement in the field of civil nuclear energy was signed for up to $9 billion, and the possibility of expanding projects in artificial intelligence for an additional $4 billion is also being considered.
Dmitry Dolgin, the chief economist at ING for the CIS, noted that such large-scale initiatives could make Armenia more attractive for direct and portfolio investments, as well as contribute to the growth of remittances to the country.
