Over $66 million. Car registration has started to bring more money to the budget of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Ministry of Finance, in 2025, the registration of motor vehicles contributed 5 billion 791.6 million soms to the budget of Kyrgyzstan, which is equivalent to approximately $66.1 million.

This is 3 billion 343.7 million soms more than the period from January to December 2024.

It should be noted that during the first ten months of 2024, the fees from vehicle registrations decreased due to changes in the calculation rules for the recycling fee on vehicles, which came into effect in Russia under new regulations for cars imported from EAEU countries. The Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development predicted that this increase could negatively impact the budget of Kyrgyzstan.
