In Kyrgyzstan, starting from January 30, 2026, based on the order of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the KR No. 3, temporary state regulation of prices for meat, including beef and lamb (excluding boneless meat), has been introduced. Maximum prices for meat products have been determined for each region and city by the territorial departments of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service.
The established prices are distributed as follows:
Bishkek and Osh: In the capital, the maximum price for beef will be 720 soms, while lamb will be 710 soms. In Osh, beef will also be sold at 720 soms, while lamb will reach 730 soms.
Chui Region: Here, the highest price limits have been set at 740 soms for beef and 750 soms for lamb.
As for other regions:
In Jalal-Abad Region, prices for beef range from 630 to 700 soms, while lamb will cost up to 720 soms.
In Issyk-Kul Region, beef will cost from 700 to 740 soms, and lamb from 660 to 690 soms.
In Batken Region, a uniform price of 700 soms has been established for both types of meat in most districts.
In Talas Region, the price limits are set at 685 soms for beef and 695 soms for lamb.
In Naryn Region, beef will cost from 620 to 680 soms, while lamb will range from 640 to 680 soms.
This initiative aims to ensure the availability of essential food products and prevent unjustified price increases for meat products. The antimonopoly authority will regularly monitor compliance with the established price limits at retail outlets.
