He pointed out that official reports most often mention the Chui, Naryn, Talas, and Issyk-Kul regions, and inquired if there is any information regarding the Osh region.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Zhanibek Kerimaliev reported that in the Osh region, the purchase price of raw milk is 39 soms per liter.
Ergeshov also noted that in the Chui region, the price of milk ranges from 36 to 47 soms per liter, while in the Naryn region, it fluctuates between 35 and 36 soms per liter, adding that the Naryn region is mountainous, which usually leads to higher fat content in the milk.
In response, Kerimaliev explained that the fat content of milk depends not only on climatic conditions but also on the breed of cows. According to him, milk obtained from purebred livestock has a higher fat content, whereas that from ordinary commercial cows has lower indicators.
The deputy also inquired about the ratio between the import and production of dairy products in the country. The Deputy Minister noted that Kyrgyzstan fully meets its dairy product needs at 127%.
According to him, the republic exports 100.5 thousand tons of raw milk, while imports amount to about 1 thousand tons.
