Discussions have begun in Kyrgyzstan regarding changes to the standard tax deductions provided for in the Tax Code. The head of the Department of Declaration and Non-Tax Payments under the government, Chinara Mamyrbaeva, reported this in an interview on "Birinchi Radio."

She emphasized that the possibility of increasing social and property benefits for taxpayers is being considered in the country. "The amounts of 650 soms per person and 100 soms per dependent have long been out of touch with modern realities," she noted.

Furthermore, Mamyrbaeva added that many citizens are unaware of the existing standard social and property deductions. Authorities are also discussing the possibility of expanding the list of so-called "targeted" deductions.
