The National Investment Agency under the President of the country recently visited the "Bishkek" free economic zone to familiarize themselves with the implementation of the investment project by the company "Heli Sky." The agency's press service reported that during the delegation's visit, the production capabilities of the Mi-8 and Mi-171 helicopter maintenance center were demonstrated, and information about the current state of the project and its future plans was presented.
Significant attention was paid to expanding the functionality of this center. According to plans, in 2026, a flight simulator for the Mi-171 helicopter will be installed here, and an interactive classroom will be opened. This innovation will allow for the training and retraining of flight personnel right in Kyrgyzstan, which will increase the accessibility of specialized education and reduce dependence on foreign educational institutions.
Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency, noted the importance of this project for the country's economy and the aviation sector.
“It is important for us to see not only intentions but also actual results in the form of created capacities and clear plans for the future. This project confirms the possibility of creating modern aviation training and service centers in Kyrgyzstan. Such initiatives contribute to attracting investments, creating jobs, training qualified specialists, and strengthening the technological potential of the country,” he said.
During the visit, agency representatives also familiarized themselves with the infrastructure of the regional spare parts warehouse and assessed the established production and technical conditions.
The implementation of this project is seen as an important step towards developing Kyrgyzstan's aviation infrastructure and creating modern service capabilities in this sector.
