In accordance with the directive from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, dated January 30, 2026, under number 3 "On the introduction of temporary state regulation of prices for meat (beef and lamb, excluding boneless) in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic," the following maximum prices have been established, as determined by the territorial departments of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service.

The minimum prices for beef and lamb have been set in the Ak-Talinsky district at 620 and 650 soms respectively. The highest meat prices are found in Balykchy and the Chui region, where they amount to 740 and 750 soms per kilogram.

In 2025, the increase in meat prices in Kyrgyzstan became one of the key topics of discussion. To curb the rise in prices, the government imposed a temporary ban on exports; however, this period expired at the end of December.
