
Recently, a meeting took place between Ravshanbek Sabirov, the head of the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan, and Sodnom Ganhuuyag, the Ambassador of Mongolia in the country. During the discussions, both sides expressed their readiness to deepen mutual trade, economic, and investment cooperation.
According to the agency's announcement, the key issue of the meeting was the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on October 24, 2024, between the National Investment Agencies of the two countries.
The parties showed interest in cooperation in areas such as industry, agriculture, tourism, the "green" economy, and digital development. An important point of discussion was the measures to improve the investment climate and create comfortable conditions for joint projects.
Ravshanbek Sabirov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan views Mongolia as a key partner and is actively working on modernizing investment legislation. In particular, the discussion included the laws "On Investments in the Kyrgyz Republic," "On Public-Private Partnerships," and the development of a new draft law "On Venture Financing."
Additionally, the meeting participants discussed the prospects for creating joint production in the light, textile, and processing industries, as well as the implementation of agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Mongolia to Kyrgyzstan in July 2025, including the organization of business missions and investment events.
In conclusion, the parties confirmed their commitment to further developing investment and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia.
