
At a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with issues of agrarian policy, ecology, and water resources, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Industry Bakyt Torobaev presented information on the readiness for spring fieldwork.
According to his report, 15 protocols have been signed in the area of export with China, and the creation of three more is planned. In addition, 17 types of products are exported without any protocols.
“Within the framework of cooperation with the EAEU, 462 enterprises are actively working. The ministry has received permission to export honey to the European Union. In 2025, the total volume of agricultural products is expected to reach 459 billion soms, which is 62.9 million soms more than the previous year. The processing industry produced goods worth 104 billion soms, indicating an increase of 16 billion soms,” the minister noted.
Torobaev also emphasized that record harvests have been recorded in certain regions: in the Jayil district, 120 tons of tomatoes were harvested from one hectare, in the Leilek district - 113 tons of onions, in the Manas district - 120 tons of peppers, and in the Kochkor district - 30–35 tons of potatoes.
