In the Naryn region, in the Ak-Tal district, safflower oil production has begun. This information was announced by the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Industry Bakyt Torobaev at a recent meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with agrarian policy and ecology.
According to Torobaev, the Ershovsky variety was sown on the rain-fed lands of this area.
“From each hectare, we manage to harvest about 20 centners. Our goal is to eliminate the oil deficit in the country by 2029. We are also trying to plant other varieties that have been imported from the USA,” he added.
