- In Kyrgyzstan, annual monitoring of food products is conducted, during which batches of goods that do not meet established safety and labeling standards are recorded. This was reported by the head of the veterinary and sanitary safety department of the Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Tilek Tabaldiev, on the radio.

According to Tabaldiev, among the most frequent violations are the presence of antibiotics, exceeding microbiological indicators, and discrepancies between the actual composition of the products and the characteristics declared on the packaging. In particular, last year about 160 samples of food products were recorded that did not meet established requirements.

He added that violations are observed in both imported and local products. For example, in the past, there were cases where antibiotics were found in poultry meat. There are also situations where the composition of products includes ingredients not listed on the packaging, including DNA from certain types of meat.

When violations are identified in imported products, the service sends relevant information to the competent authorities of the producing country for investigation and resolution of the causes. In relation to local producers, explanatory and corrective measures are carried out jointly with veterinary and phytosanitary supervision aimed at preventing repeated violations.
