The quality of agricultural products that are exported is largely determined by the quality of raw materials, as well as compliance with veterinary and sanitary standards. This was discussed by Tilek Tabaldiev, head of the veterinary and sanitary safety department of the veterinary service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, in a radio broadcast.

According to Tabaldiev, at the stage of raw material acceptance, processors carry out control, and if the products do not meet the requirements, they are returned to the suppliers or disposed of in accordance with established procedures.

He also noted that the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union define standards for meat products.

“Before slaughter, animals must have veterinary accompanying documents, undergo identification, vaccination, quarantine, and veterinary and sanitary examination. After verification, the veterinarian issues a conclusion on the suitability of the products,” he explained.

In addition, Tabaldiev mentioned that disagreements regarding documents may arise at the border during export. However, such issues are resolved in a working manner through cooperation with the relevant services of other countries.
