Kubanych began his path to success with training in 2022, after which he adopted the experience of his colleagues from Uzbekistan and built a modern greenhouse covering an area of 10 acres. His farm is equipped with drip irrigation systems to conserve water and efficient heating, which requires about 300 kilograms of coal daily during the cold winter days. In the greenhouse, the farmer also experiments with various varieties: instead of the high-yielding Korean variety "Sokhen," he has started growing the market-popular "Kabirello," which is known for its excellent berry quality.
The economic results of his project are impressive: in April, the price of strawberries fluctuates between 700–800 soms per kilogram, while in winter it can reach 2000 soms. With proper care, one hectare can yield up to 25 tons of harvest, and the current capacity of the greenhouse allows for over 500 kilograms of berries per cycle. Additionally, Kubanych has cultivated over a hectare of open land where strawberries ripen by mid-spring. Previously, the products were sent to the markets of Osh, but now they fully meet the needs of local retail outlets in the Batken region.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic notes that the example of Kubanych Barat uulu is exemplary for attracting youth to the agricultural sector. The successful implementation of new technologies and smart diversification of varieties have made his farm a significant player in the local market, confirming that the Batken climate combined with innovations opens new horizons for profitable farming.
