Bishkek requests 6.5 billion soms for roads, bridges, and public transport » Gazeta.kg

At the meeting of the permanent commission of the Bishkek City Council, the director of the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure, Ulanbek Beishenbaev, announced a budget request of 6 billion 5 million soms for 2026.

The department presented the following key expenditure items:

Subsidies for urban public transport — 1 billion 204 million soms;

Maintenance of traffic lights at 401 intersections — 69 million 430 thousand soms;

Construction of roads and bridges — 4 billion 585 million soms;

Wages for employees — 83 million 289 thousand soms.

Beishenbaev noted that these funds are necessary to maintain the functioning of the capital's transport system, as well as to modernize the road infrastructure and ensure the stable operation of urban transport.
