Crisis in the Textile Industry: Daniyar Amangeldiev Announced a Solution
In response to questions from deputies, he clarified that the difficulties were related to entering the electronic trading platform Wildberries and the issue of determining the VAT payer.
According to him, the tightening of measures by the Russian Federation occurred due to the loss of tax revenue in the budget, as the VAT payer had not been established. Wildberries did not act as the VAT payer. This issue was raised at a recent EEC council concerning the "Honest Sign," customs procedures, and the determination of the VAT payer. "Together with our partner Wildberries, we found a solution to this problem," he added.
Daniyar Amangeldiev also reported that the government has addressed the financing issue in the sector by providing loans at an annual interest rate of 6 percent and noted that the president allocated additional funds from his fund.
He commented on the deputies' information about the possible closure of 6,000 to 8,000 sewing enterprises, stating that this is not true. "According to official statistics, production volumes in Kyrgyzstan have remained at the same level," he emphasized. Earlier at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, issues in the textile industry were discussed, where it was stated that 4,000 to 5,000 sewing workshops in the country were closing.
In the fall of 2025, it became known that changes in requirements from the Russian Federation created a number of problems for representatives of Kyrgyzstan's textile industry. Difficulties with exporting products to Russia were also discussed at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
