In Batken, there is a rise in prices for cattle: a calf is valued at 280,000 soms. In the Batken region, there has been an increase in prices for cattle in recent days, ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 soms. This data was obtained during a price monitoring conducted by a Turmush correspondent.

In addition to cattle, there has also been an increase in the prices of sheep and goats – by 3,000 to 4,000 soms. The cost of animals varies depending on their breed, age, and condition.

According to local residents, the price increase is due to the rising costs of compound feed, fodder, and hay, which is particularly noticeable in the winter months when the expenses for keeping livestock significantly increase, affecting market prices. At the livestock market "Torgovy," located in the Ak-Turpak ayil aimak of the Kadamjay district, a three-year-old Aberdeen-Angus bull was valued at 280,000 soms on February 4, 2026. The live weight of this animal was 700 kilograms. The owner reported that with additional feeding over 2–3 months, the bull's weight could reach one ton.

Local butchers also report an increase in demand for meat. In their opinion, at the "Torgovy" market, which takes place every third Wednesday, an average of 12–13 bulls are sold per day.
