The Minister of Economy, Bakyt Sydykov, expressed the opinion at a recent press conference that the B5+1 format represents a new level of interaction in the region. According to him, business is beginning to play the role of the main catalyst for economic transformations.

Sydykov emphasized that today entrepreneurs are not just participants in economic processes, but are becoming full-fledged co-authors of reforms.

“The B5+1 format opens up unique opportunities for entrepreneurs in Central Asia to develop practical recommendations that can be conveyed to governments and international partners,” he added.

The minister highlighted three main aspects of the B5+1 forum that are crucial for Kyrgyzstan:

Strengthening cooperation at the regional level. Each year, the economies of Central Asian countries are becoming more interconnected. Coordinated actions in the areas of logistics, trade, energy, and digital technologies are becoming necessary. The B5+1 format facilitates the transition of discussions to specific business initiatives.

Creating a more favorable business climate. Initiatives from the business community focus on reducing administrative barriers, developing financial instruments for SMEs, improving access to markets, and digitizing public services, which aligns with current reforms in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Strengthening international relations. Active participation from the USA and the involvement of local businesses contribute to increased trust from investors, opening new opportunities for trade, investment, and technology transfer.

“The forum sends a clear signal: Central Asia is a territory of cooperation, reforms, and growing opportunities for international business,” the minister concluded.
