Over the past two months, the United States has tightened its visa policy, as reported by Sergio Gore, who represents the U.S. President on issues related to South and Central Asia. This statement was made during the B5 +1 forum held in Bishkek.

Gore noted that the visa policy is being reviewed for citizens of 75 countries.

According to him, these measures are aimed at combating illegal migration and strengthening control over visa issuance.

Moreover, he emphasized that the United States plans to actively develop business ties with countries in the region in various sectors, such as e-commerce and transportation. In his opinion, such a policy will benefit not only the U.S. but also other countries.

The main goal of the U.S. is to protect its borders.

It is important to note that previously, the United States suspended the issuance of immigration visas for citizens of 75 countries, including Kyrgyzstan.
