During a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh dedicated to issues of industrial policy, transport, and architecture, it became known that in the Ministry of Construction of the Kyrgyz Republic, a salary of 500,000 soms is received by only 4-5 employees. Deputy Bakhridin Shabazov asked about the number of workers receiving such high wages.
The Deputy Minister of Construction, Talantbek Imanakun uulu, explained that these specialists are involved in design and preparation of drawings. He noted that among them are architects, engineers, and structural designers, each responsible for their part of the project. If the cost of the project is 500,000 soms, then when distributed among 4-5 specialists, each receives about 100,000 soms.
The deputy also emphasized that a positive aspect is that the Ministry of Construction carries out the design independently. According to him, this allows reducing the cost of services to 7-10 dollars per square meter, while private companies may charge up to 15 dollars.
