In 2026, the Chui Electric Networks enterprise, a branch of OJSC "Kyrgyzstan UET", plans to construct several key facilities. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
Among the planned works are the construction of substations: "Manas" (110/35/10 kV), "Chuyskaya" (second phase 220/35/10 kV), "Kün-Tuu" (110/35/10 kV), and "Leninskaya" (35/10 kV).
Additionally, the project will involve significant modernization of electrical lines. Outdated overhead lines will be replaced with modern self-supporting insulated wires (SIP). It is planned to update 15.67 km of 10 kV lines and 103.81 km of 0.4 kV lines. The reconstruction will also affect cable lines - 0.37 km at 10 kV and 0.15 km at 0.4 kV.
Furthermore, a workshop for the production of reinforced concrete poles is planned to be established at the Chui Electric Networks enterprise. In total, 2,800 poles will be replaced in the region, and five new transformers will be installed.
Digitalization will be one of the priorities for the implementation of the project. In 2026, it is planned to install more than 80,000 smart electricity meters (ASCUE), carry out major repairs on 785 transformer substations, and provide technical maintenance for another 5,176 substations.
These measures are expected to ensure stable and reliable electricity supply, improve the quality of services provided, guarantee uninterrupted power supply, and minimize the likelihood of emergency situations.
