A round table was held at the Antimonopoly Service with the participation of owners of public catering establishments
Owners of cafes and restaurants announced their intention to reduce prices by 10% for takeout orders. This information was announced by representatives of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
At the round table organized by the agency, the implementation of a law prohibiting service charges in public establishments was discussed.
Previously, establishments often added 10-15% for service to their menus. After the new law was adopted, this expense item disappeared from the bills; however, many citizens speculated that establishments simply raised the prices of dishes to compensate for these losses. Inspections by the government service confirmed that prices for dishes have indeed increased in recent months.
Entrepreneurs promised to optimize prices and introduce a 10% discount on takeout orders.
