The list of products subject to continuous monitoring has been approved by the EEC Council. It includes:
- household refrigerators and freezers (12 codes of the EAEU HS),
- washing machines, both household and those intended for laundries, including devices with spinning (6 codes of the EAEU HS),
- receiving equipment for television, both with and without a broadcasting radio receiver, as well as devices for recording or reproducing sound and images (16 codes of the EAEU HS).
Bakyt Sultanov, Minister of Economy and Financial Policy of the EEC, stated: “We are creating a unified and transparent space for business, where honest entrepreneurs can operate on equal terms. This will also provide consumers with a guarantee of quality and safety of goods. The implementation of the system will help effectively counter 'gray' schemes and enhance the economic security of the entire Union. We are starting with key categories of household appliances and plan to expand the list so that our common market becomes even more civilized and predictable.”
