- At the meeting on January 30, 2026, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Erkeaiym Seitkazieva highlighted serious shortcomings in the conditions of the pastures, especially in the Suusamyr Valley.
She pointed out that in spring, farmers are forced to drive their livestock to remote pastures, yet the necessary conditions for this are not being created.

“We are obliging farmers to send their animals to distant pastures in April and May. In June, they return to the Suusamyr Valley, but there are absolutely no conditions there. The road is closed, and funding is not allocated,” the deputy noted.

Furthermore, Seitkazieva emphasized that local self-government bodies are responsible for this situation, but often lack sufficient resources as many of them receive subsidies. In this regard, she asked the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture about the possibility of creating the necessary conditions and allocating funds.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Zhanibek Kerimaliev responded that the income from the use of pastures should be directed towards their development.

He added that the ministry is considering attracting additional sources of funding.
“We are exploring the possibility of using grants and reaching out to investors. It is also important to create a schedule for the use of pastures,” the deputy minister clarified.
