The European Commission has approved the inclusion of Kyrgyz honey in a special list of technical regulations, allowing its export to the EU territory.
According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, this decision indicates that Kyrgyzstan's control and certification system meets European Union standards.
This decision by the European Commission will open new opportunities for Kyrgyz honey producers, enhancing their competitiveness in international markets.
Previously, efforts were made to introduce Kyrgyz honey to European markets; however, strict certification requirements hindered export.
The Ministry intends to continue working on expanding the list of products available for export to the EU.
