In the Kochkor district, located in the Naryn region, there is a problem with meat prices, which in some stores exceed the established norm of 640 soms, reaching 700 soms and more. This was reported by Erkin Chekirbaev, the deputy akim of the district, at a meeting of the local state administration.

Chekirbaev noted that there are between 7 to 8 meat trading points operating in the village of Kochkor. "The price threshold for meat in the district is set at 640 soms. We are obligated to ensure that sales are conducted at this price. However, after our inspections, some stores again raise their prices," he added.

During the meeting, it was proposed to create a special commission to check the meat stores. In case of non-compliance with the requirements, the possibility of closing such trading points should be considered. There was also a suggestion to implement a video surveillance system, as in a number of stores, the price of meat reaches 700-750 soms.

Ruslan Saparbekov, the deputy representative of the president in the Naryn region, pointed out public discontent due to rising prices. He suggested not limiting actions to warnings but creating pavilions with affordable meat and obliging the ayil okmotu to monitor compliance with acceptable prices. Saparbekov believes that with a stable alternative, customers will be less inclined to visit expensive stores, which will lead to a decrease in prices.
Akim of the Kochkor district Bayaly Dosaliev emphasized that most buyers prefer to purchase meat specifically in the village of Kochkor, so it is important to organize sales at reduced prices not only in the district center but also in each ayil okmotu. He also noted that part of the population has distrust towards meat priced at 600 soms, linking this to insufficient informational work by the veterinary service. Dosaliev reported that the authorities are negotiating with private companies.

There are also plans to open a social store at the bus station so that vulnerable groups of the population can purchase meat at lower prices. The ayil okmotu has been tasked with regularly organizing fairs.

It was also noted at the meeting that some stores have already been fined three times by the Antimonopoly Service: the first fine was 3,000 soms, the second — 16,000 soms, and the third — 27,000 soms. Other trading points also received fines of 3,000 and 16,000 soms. To stabilize prices, fairs are held on Saturdays, where meat is sold for 600 soms.
