The revenues of Kyrgyzstan's state budget from car tinting have risen to record levels

According to the Ministry of Finance, in 2025, the republican budget was supplemented by 1 billion 128.1 million soms from the fee for tinting the side windows of the front doors of vehicles.

This is 477.9 million soms, or 73.5% more than in 2024.

It should be noted that since June 1, 2022, a procedure for paying the fee for permission to tint the front side windows has been introduced in the country.

As of September 1, 2024, the amounts of the fee for permission to tint were as follows:

individuals - 50,000 soms (previously 80,000 soms);
legal entities - 70,000 soms (previously 100,000 soms);
non-residents - 90,000 soms (previously 120,000 soms).

Additionally, starting from September 6, 2025, in accordance with resolution No. 516, signed on August 22 of the same year by the Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, new rates for obtaining permits for tinting electric vehicles were established:

for individuals - residents - 30,000 soms;
for legal entities - 50,000 soms;
for non-residents - 70,000 soms.
